AI-Powered Product Label Compliance Checker

Project Cyclops is a digital inspection tool currently in development by Health Canada that helps product inspectors quickly assess whether product labels comply with Canadian regulations. Using optical character recognition (OCR) technology, the system analyzes uploaded images of product labels to identify ingredients and validate them against Health Canada's restricted and prohibited ingredient lists. The system generates compliance reports to support inspectors' decision-making. This tool is designed for Government of Canada employees involved in product compliance inspection and does not collect or process personal information about consumers or individuals.
