AI-Powered Legal Research and Document Analysis

CoCounsel Core is a generative AI system developed by Thomson Reuters to assist Government of Canada legal professionals with complex legal research and document review tasks. Currently in development as a pilot project, this system adds advanced capabilities including document drafting, summarization, and comparison to Canada's Westlaw legal research subscription service. The system does not involve the collection or processing of personal information about individuals. Legal professionals using CoCounsel Core should understand that it is an AI-assisted tool designed to enhance their work, and human legal judgment remains essential for all legal decisions and analysis.
