AI Assistant for Productivity in Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-powered assistant integrated into Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, and Teams. This system is designed to help Government of Canada employees create, analyze, and communicate more effectively by leveraging advanced language models to generate content, summarize information, transcribe meetings, and automate routine tasks across the Microsoft 365 suite.

The system accesses your organization's Microsoft 365 data—including emails, documents, and calendar information—through Microsoft Graph to provide personalized assistance tailored to your work context. This integration enables the assistant to understand your organizational context and deliver more relevant and useful support for your daily productivity tasks.

This system is currently in production and does not involve the processing of personal information as defined in privacy legislation. Employees should be aware that their organizational data is being used to power the AI assistant's recommendations and that they can interact with the system across multiple Microsoft 365 applications for various productivity and communication tasks.
