GAC GPT is a secure, internal AI platform developed by Global Affairs Canada to provide conversational access to departmental knowledge and documents. The system is designed exclusively for use by Government of Canada employees and does not process personal information about citizens or the public.
The platform uses advanced AI technology (GPT-4 and Azure infrastructure) to enable employees to interact naturally with curated internal documents, policies, and domain-specific knowledge. This helps improve productivity and ensures consistent access to authoritative departmental information. The system is currently in production and has been designed with security safeguards to protect sensitive government data.
All data used by GAC GPT comes from internal departmental sources that are periodically updated through controlled data pipelines. The system does not collect, store, or process personal information about individuals outside the government.
