AI-Powered Analysis for Steel Production Research

This AI system analyzes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of electric arc furnaces used in steel production. The tool uses artificial intelligence techniques to identify patterns in complex simulation data that would be difficult for human analysts to detect manually. This helps researchers understand how biomass-derived carbon particles behave inside furnaces, supporting Canada's industrial decarbonization efforts.

The system is currently in production and is used by Government of Canada employees conducting research on cleaner steel production methods. The AI analyzes simulation data generated by Natural Resources Canada to accelerate the discovery of insights about particle behavior and furnace efficiency. No personal information is collected or processed by this system.

As a research support tool, this system helps make industrial decarbonization research faster and more effective by automating the analysis of complex simulation outputs and uncovering hidden patterns that inform better decisions about steel production processes.
