ProteBee is a generative AI assistant currently in development by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to support evaluation and qualitative data analysis. The system helps Government of Canada employees query, summarize, and analyze content from SharePoint folders and publicly available AAFC information using prompts informed by evaluation frameworks. It generates outputs with precise references to help evaluators identify insights and refine their analysis more efficiently.
This tool is designed to enhance evaluator capacity by streamlining routine tasks like summarization and coding, freeing up time for deeper research and stakeholder engagement. ProteBee operates in a secure, sandboxed environment to protect data while improving the efficiency and inclusiveness of evaluations. The system does not process personal information and is intended to support, not replace, human evaluators in their work.
The AI system uses a Large Language Model (LLM) to search and analyze evaluation data. Staff can interact with the system through natural language prompts to generate summaries and insights with documented references.
