Automated Study Permit Application Review

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses an AI system to help review study permit applications from international students. The system processes applications from applicants of different nationalities, including those from Saudi Arabia and India, to assess their eligibility for study permits in Canada.

The AI system reviews key documentation submitted with applications, including proof of identity, evidence of financial sufficiency, and interview records. This automated assessment helps IRCC staff process applications more efficiently while maintaining consistent evaluation standards across different application types.

This system is used by Government of Canada employees involved in study permit processing. Please note: This system processes personal information from applicants, including identity documents and financial records. Citizens have rights regarding access to their data, understanding how decisions are made, and contesting outcomes that affect them.
