AI-Powered Change Request Risk Analysis System
The Change Advisory Board (CAB) AI Chatbot is an artificial intelligence system designed to assist the Canada Revenue Agency in analyzing and managing change requests. The system correlates tens of thousands of data points from historical change requests and incident documentation to identify potential risks and prevent problems before they occur during the implementation of approved changes.
This system is currently in development and is intended for use by Government of Canada employees who work with the Change Advisory Board. The system uses machine learning to detect patterns and correlations at a scale and speed that human analysts cannot achieve, helping to make more informed decisions about change approvals. The system does not process personal information, focusing instead on historical change request data and organizational incident documentation.
Key transparency information: The system analyzes approximately 300,000 lines of historical data from previous change requests and incidents. It uses open-source technology and applies correlation analysis to identify causal relationships between different data points. This analysis enables proactive risk identification rather than reactive problem-solving.
