This AI system automatically converts recorded meeting audio files (.mp3) into written transcriptions with identified speakers, generates meeting summaries, and produces translated versions of the transcriptions. The system uses speech-to-text technology combined with language models to process government employee meetings efficiently.
The system is currently in development and is being used by Government of Canada employees to streamline meeting documentation and accessibility. Unlike some AI systems, this tool does not process personal information about individuals beyond what is necessary to identify speakers within meetings.
