The AI Legal Editing System uses generative artificial intelligence to assist Government of Canada employees in preparing legal summaries from tribunal documents. This system is currently in development and leverages CanChat, a large language model, to help streamline the document review and summarization process for the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada.
The system processes legal documents created by the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board (FPSLREB) tribunal to generate concise summaries. This AI tool is designed to improve efficiency in legal document analysis while maintaining the quality standards required for tribunal-related work.
