The system is currently in production and used by Government of Canada employees across federal departments. It operates at the Protected B security classification level and does not process personal information. GCtranslate works by accepting text and document inputs from authorized government users and applications through a secure API interface, translating them using pre-trained neural translation models, and returning translated content along with usage analytics. The system includes role-based access controls and specialized glossary and terminology support to ensure accurate, consistent translations aligned with government standards.
