The Risk Evaluation and Conflict Tool (REACT) is an AI-powered system developed by Transport Canada's Conflict Zone Information Office to monitor and assess global conflict-related threats to Canadian civil aviation. This data-driven tool uses artificial intelligence to automate the analysis of published media sources and news articles, reducing the manual effort required to identify and evaluate aviation safety risks.
REACT processes open-source information through machine learning algorithms and large language models to generate risk assessments and identify emerging threats. The system is designed to enhance Canada's capability to respond to conflict-related aviation safety concerns by providing timely, automated analysis of conflict developments worldwide.
