AI-Powered Cybercrime Intelligence Coordination

The National Cybercrime Solution (NCS) is an AI-powered system managed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) that coordinates complex cybercrime and fraud cases across Canada and internationally. The system uses artificial intelligence to categorize data, recognize patterns and entities, and assess risks to help law enforcement and security partners make informed decisions about cybercrime investigations.

This system is currently in production and is used by Government of Canada employees working in law enforcement and cybersecurity. The NCS processes personal information to help identify criminal patterns and coordinate between multiple agencies. The system was developed in part by the RCMP, with support from FTI Consulting Inc. and Hubstream, and incorporates data from partner organizations and public reports.

Citizens and organizations should be aware that information they report about cybercrime or fraud may be processed by this AI system as part of the RCMP's efforts to coordinate investigations and produce intelligence for law enforcement partners in Canada and abroad.
