AI Writing and Data Analysis for Office

Microsoft Copilot for Office Suite is an artificial intelligence system deployed by the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority to enhance productivity across Microsoft Office applications. The system uses generative AI to provide writing assistance in Word and Outlook, helping employees improve grammar, style, and document clarity. In Excel, Copilot analyzes data patterns and trends to deliver predictive insights and formatted visualizations, enabling more informed decision-making. This system is currently in production and is used by Government of Canada employees. The system does not involve processing personal information in its core operations.
