AI Fraud Detection in CRA Portal Access

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has developed an artificial intelligence system to detect fraudulent and suspicious transactions occurring within its secure portals. This system analyzes billions of historical access logs and user interaction records to identify unusual patterns that may indicate fraudulent activity.

The system uses machine learning algorithms to scan through vast volumes of digital fingerprint data collected from users accessing CRA portals. When suspicious transactions are identified, appropriate security measures can be taken to protect user accounts and CRA systems. This system is currently in development and primarily serves Government of Canada employees.

Please note: This system does not process personal information as defined under privacy legislation, focusing instead on transaction patterns and access logs to identify anomalies.
