The system is currently in development and is being evaluated for its effectiveness in supporting legal work. CoCounsel processes existing proprietary legal publications and datasets to provide research assistance, but does not involve the collection or processing of personal information about individuals. The system is designed to support Justice Canada employees who use the Westlaw Canada legal research subscription service.
