AI-Powered Agricultural Disease Risk Assessment
The Crop Disease Risk Assessment Tool is an AI-powered web application developed by the Canadian Space Agency to help identify and manage crop disease risks across the Canadian Prairies. This Phase 1 system analyzes agricultural data to predict disease outbreaks and inform farmers and agricultural professionals about potential threats to crop health.
The system is designed for use by Government of Canada employees who work in agricultural extension, policy, and research. By providing early warnings of disease risk, the tool helps support decision-making in crop management and disease prevention strategies. The system does not involve the collection of personal information about individual farmers or consumers.
This transparency page provides details about how the system works, what data it uses, and how it makes decisions. We are committed to ensuring this agricultural tool is developed and deployed responsibly, with appropriate oversight and safeguards in place.
