Veterans Affairs Canada uses Hootsuite, a social media management platform with sentiment analysis capabilities, to monitor and analyze performance across all organizational social media accounts. The system uses Natural Language Processing technology to evaluate the sentiment of public comments and posts on social media platforms, providing analytics that help the organization understand public response to its communications.
This system processes public social media data only and does not involve personal information collection. It is used by Government of Canada employees to gain insights into social media engagement and performance metrics. The system is currently in production and helps Veterans Affairs Canada better understand how their social media content resonates with the public.
