AI-Powered Business Name Registration Prediction System
The NUANS Business Name Submission Prediction and Scoring Filings Improvement Project is a planned artificial intelligence system being developed by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada to help predict whether business name registration requests will be accepted across Canadian jurisdictions. This system is currently in development and is not yet deployed.
This AI system will assist members of the public who submit business name registration requests by providing predictions about the likelihood of acceptance. The system does not collect or process personal information about individuals. By analyzing business name submissions and their outcomes across different jurisdictions, the system aims to improve the efficiency and predictability of the business registration filing process.
As this system is still under development, the specific capabilities, data sources, and technical details are yet to be determined. The Government of Canada is committed to transparency regarding this AI system and will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
