AI-Powered Human Resources Management System
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is developing an AI-enhanced Human Resources Management System (HRMS) to modernize HR operations across the organization. This system is currently in development and will help manage employee position changes, maintain comprehensive historical records, and support critical HR functions including pay equity analysis, succession planning, and recruitment processes.
The system will primarily serve Government of Canada employees and will use artificial intelligence to automate routine HR tasks and improve operational efficiency. Because this system processes personal information about employees—including employment history, compensation data, and career progression records—CATSA is committed to transparent governance and responsible AI deployment.
This system is still under development. Citizens and employees should be aware that personal information is involved in this AI system, and CATSA is conducting thorough assessment of how the system will protect privacy and ensure fair treatment across all HR functions.
