AI Assistant for Government Workplace Productivity
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is testing Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to help government employees work more efficiently. Currently in the development stage, this system is being rolled out to a limited group of 50 users as CSC prepares the necessary cybersecurity and IT security guidelines for safe, secure, and responsible implementation. The system does not retain conversation context between different sessions, which helps protect privacy by preventing information from being carried over from one interaction to the next. As an AI tool developed by Microsoft, Copilot will interact with government employees and their work documents. CSC is carefully planning this deployment to ensure the tool meets security standards and protects sensitive government information.
