This AI system automatically extracts spectrum licence conditions from regulatory documents and presents them in a structured, machine-readable format. Rather than requiring time-consuming manual review by specialists, the system uses advanced language models to identify, organize, and structure critical regulatory information from unstructured documents and sector websites.
The system is currently in development and is being created by the Government of Canada (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) to support GC employees working in the Spectrum and Telecommunications Sector. By automating information extraction, the system aims to improve efficiency and accuracy while enabling faster access to essential licence conditions that inform evidence-based decision-making. This system does not involve personal information and processes only publicly available regulatory documents.
