The Canada Business App helps Canadian business owners discover and access federal, provincial, and territorial services to start and grow their businesses. Starting in development, the app will use artificial intelligence to provide personalized service recommendations tailored to each business's unique profile. Rather than requiring users to manually navigate thousands of government resources, the AI system will intelligently match businesses with the programs, financing options, licensing requirements, and permits most relevant to their needs.
This system is being developed by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and is intended for members of the public who are Canadian business owners. The AI does not process personal information—it works with curated, unclassified datasets about government services, financing programs, innovation initiatives, and regulatory requirements. By using large language models to understand business contexts and match them to appropriate resources, the system aims to reduce the time and effort required to find the right government support.
