M365 Copilot is a generative AI chatbot deployed by the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board Canada to support internal government work. The system helps employees draft documents, summarize information, generate ideas, and answer general questions to improve productivity. This tool does not make or recommend administrative decisions about clients or the public. The system is currently in production and is used by Government of Canada employees. M365 Copilot does not process personal information about individuals outside the organization—it only works with internal organizational content from Microsoft 365 services (such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook) that remains within the organization's security boundary. The system uses publicly available text and licensed datasets for its foundational training.
