AI-Powered Employee Productivity and Innovation Tool

Radia is an experimental generative AI platform developed by the Communications Research Centre to help Government of Canada employees work more efficiently. The system provides access to advanced AI tools including document summarization, drafting, translation, coding assistance, and data analysis capabilities. Currently in development and restricted to unclassified information only, Radia aims to explore safe and responsible AI adoption within departmental operations while reducing repetitive tasks and improving productivity.

The platform works by allowing employees to interact with large language models and autonomous agents through simple interfaces. Users can upload documents, ask questions, and request various content generation or analysis tasks. Radia can integrate with internal knowledge bases and departmental systems to provide more contextual and useful responses. The system uses a combination of open-source and proprietary AI models delivered through cloud-based infrastructure.

This proof-of-concept platform does not involve processing personal information. All interactions are limited to unclassified government information and user-provided public content such as documents, text, images, and data. The system is available only to Government of Canada employees as part of the innovation testing initiative.
