CorrCHAT is a generative AI chatbot developed by the Correctional Service of Canada to help employees access Commissioner's directives in a more intuitive format. Instead of manually searching through the department's intranet website, employees can now use conversational queries to find relevant policy information quickly and efficiently.
This system is currently in development and is being tested with government employees. The chatbot uses generative AI technology to understand natural language questions and search through departmental documents to provide relevant responses. The system does not process personal information and focuses solely on helping staff navigate internal policy documentation.
CorrCHAT is built on best practices from the National Research Council's AI Zone and represents the department's commitment to modernizing how employees access critical operational guidance. All interactions with the system are designed to improve workplace efficiency while maintaining the integrity of official policy documents.
