Copilot Studio is an AI-powered platform developed by the Government of Canada that enables users to create, manage, and deploy custom chatbots and intelligent agents. The system is currently in production and is primarily used by Government of Canada employees to support citizen-led development initiatives.
The platform allows users to build conversational AI agents using their own knowledge bases and data sources, including files from SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure Search, the Internet, and user-uploaded files. Once created, these chatbots and agents can be deployed across multiple channels including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and as standalone or integrated applications.
Importantly, Copilot Studio does not involve the collection or processing of personal information. The system focuses on enabling government employees to develop AI solutions that can better serve citizens through improved accessibility and user-driven innovation.
