The Missions AI-Generated Briefs tool is an artificial intelligence system developed by the Government of Canada and deployed by Global Affairs Canada. This system automatically processes monthly trade-related reports submitted by Canadian missions across the United States and transforms them into concise, regionally structured briefing documents.
The system uses advanced natural language processing and large language models to analyze mission reports stored in SharePoint and generate clear summaries that highlight key trade events and activities. This automation enables Canadian government employees to focus their time and expertise on analyzing insights and taking action, rather than spending hours manually synthesizing information from multiple sources.
The system is currently in production and does not involve the processing of personal information. It is designed as an internal tool for Government of Canada employees who manage trade-related intelligence and strategic planning.
