AI-Assisted Resume Screening for Government Hiring

This tool automatically extracts and ranks skills from job application submissions to help hiring managers conduct an initial review of candidates. It is designed to prioritize critical skills identified in a Statement of Merit Criteria (SOMC) so that managers can focus their review efforts. The system is currently in development and is intended for use by Government of Canada employees involved in staffing. Job applicants may be affected by the rankings it produces, but human managers are expected to conduct further analysis before any hiring decisions are made.
