AI Monitoring of Media Article Sentiment

Veterans Affairs Canada deployed Meltwater, a media monitoring and analytics platform, to analyze sentiment and themes in news articles. This system automatically processes published media content to identify trends, public perception, and coverage patterns relevant to Veterans Affairs. The system is no longer actively used by the department. Primary users were Government of Canada employees who accessed analytics and reports generated from the sentiment analysis. This system processes publicly available media articles and does not involve personal information collection from individuals.
